Internet Solutions (IS), part of the Dimension Data Group, and Sophos Anti-Virus, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, have announced a strategic partnership whereby IS will integrate Sophos`s leading-edge technology into its managed services solutions.

An IDC survey asked top US companies how many had received virus alerts in a single month. Of the respondents, nearly 7% said they had not detected any, 57% said viruses had been detected but repelled, 24% had been infected and nearly 10% said their systems had been affected.

Using the Sophos Anti-Virus Interface (SAVI) technology, third-party vendors and service providers can combine Sophos`s anti-virus capabilities with firewalls, e-mail servers, encryption and other security-related devices.
