InterSystems and partner Web Accounting Solutions will exhibit at Futurex at the Sandton Convention Centre from 16 to 19 May.
Web Accounting Solutions developed its Web-based accounting software, Accknowledge, using InterSystems` CACH'E post-relational database. A first for browser-accessible accounting, the package was developed entirely in South Africa, and is specifically geared for the needs of the local market.
"We chose to develop in CACH'E because it came out tops in terms of speed, reliability and data storage capabilities," says Malcolm Granville, MD of Web Accounting Solutions. "Futurex will provide us with the opportunity to demonstrate how stable and easy to use Accknowledge is. Unlike other accounting packages it is able to cross borders as a result of its Web-based, multilingual and multicurrency functionality."
"InterSystems has always had a partnership-centric approach to business, and in conjunction with the company`s technology, partners have developed innovative applications for the South African market," says Henry Adams, country manager, InterSystems SA.
"InterSystems is perceived by its competitors to be niche market-focused because of the company`s global success in healthcare IT. But its achievements in this most critical of environments is the precise reason CACH'E and Ensemble are suitable for any other environment where companies are looking to rapidly manage and integrate massive amounts of data. Futurex will provide us with an excellent forum in which to discuss our technology and the solutions our partners are building on it."
Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, InterSystems Corporation (www.InterSystems.com) has served the needs of IT organisations and independent software vendors for more than two decades. InterSystems` showcase products, the CACH'E post-relational database and the Ensemble integration platform, enable the rapid creation and fast integration of high-performance applications.
Over 4 million people use mission-critical applications based on InterSystems` software. Twenty-five regional offices serve application developers and integrators around the world, and 24x7 support is provided for all InterSystems products.
