Intervate, the software developer and solution provider focusing on intranet, extranet and portal technology solutions, has today launched eQuotation, a retail quotation management solution designed to work with Microsoft Office System. eQuotation is designed to save enterprises time and money by automating and accelerating manual processes and centralising disparate information.

The solution automatically imports and centralises disparate supplier price lists, providing sales people with an easy-to-use, secure and dynamic template to generate quotations. It also effortlessly distributes and manages quotations, allowing managers to compare up-to-the-minute sales activities and orders. Furthermore, by monitoring the total value of quotations using time-series data, the solution gives managers the ability to analyse potential revenue shortfalls.
"All quotations are automatically stored, categorised and managed in a searchable document repository," says Van As. "Managers are able to track and monitor all quotations using a business intelligence portal. Once a customer has accepted a quotation, a purchase order, including all other relevant documentation, is automatically created, substantially improving process time. eQuotation can also easily be integrated in line-of-business applications or customised on-the-go by individuals or managers."
eQuotation was designed in close collaboration with Microsoft and is easily implemented within Microsoft Office System. It makes extensive use of Share Point Portal Server 2003 and Microsoft SQL Server.
