Intervate launches new internal organisational tool

Intervate Solutions, a local software development and solution provider that focuses on intranet, portal and mobile technology, has recently developed and launched VisEx!, a graphical floor plan and facilities management system. The solution gives companies the ability to visually explore and manage their internal floor plan arrangements and office facilities via a Web-based program, which is easy to update and simple to use.

"One of the main reasons for developing VisEx!, was that we identified that many large organisations grapple with their internal planning and management, especially when it comes to the arrangement and administration of employee seating, meeting rooms and other shared facilities," says Migal van As, CEO of Intervate.

"The need for employees to quickly retrieve and find internal information as well as interact with their facilities is becoming more prevalent. More and more companies are realising the importance of having immediate access to information such as health and safety policies, employee information, equipment status and perform activities such as checking the availability of and booking meetings rooms within their direct environment."

VisEx! operates by allowing a user to gather information by viewing pre-configured floor plans and simply clicking on relevant visual icons or objects. Additionally, users also have the ability to search across multiple floor plans to locate and keep track of member or company resource information. "If the administrator of the system would like to add extra users in terms of the seating plan they simply have to drag and drop the user to the new seating arrangement or update their personal information by clicking on their profile. "VisEx! has been in development and testing for the past nine-months, to ensure the application is accessible and simple to use," adds van As.

"The benefits of this application is that companies now have access to a solution that is not only practical but gives them an array of functionality to help support their HR and office management processes," says Van As. "An organisation only needs Microsoft MSDE or SQL Server and Internet Information Server to be able to utilise the solution, as it works seamlessly within the Active Directory environment."
