Intervate, a local Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and leading provider of enterprise content management solutions has acquired Synergy Corporate Technologies (South Africa), another Microsoft Gold Partner based in Cape Town. The combined company will expand Intervate's scope of operations in the Western Cape region and enhance the value it is able to offer customers nationwide.
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner with recognised Information Worker, Custom Development and Data Management competencies, Intervate has extensive skill and experience in developing and deploying Microsoft .Net solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint platform.
According to Migal van As, chairman of Intervate, the acquisition will see Intervate merging the two companies' operations in Cape Town, boosting the organisation's growth and market share in this region.
Like Intervate, Synergy is also a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner providing customised technology solutions in the area of enterprise content management.
“Intervate has shown tremendous organic growth over recent years and opened a branch in the Western Cape in late 2007,” says Van As. “In order to accelerate the growth and increase our development and service teams in the Western Cape region, Intervate made the decision to acquire Synergy Corporate Technologies (South Africa). Synergy has built up a successful and well respected business in the region and will immediately make a positive contribution to boost Intervate's customer service, reach and improve our annual results.”
“Intervate has been recognised by Microsoft as the leading partner in South Africa in the Information Worker space for the past two years and was the obvious choice when assessing which organisation to potentially align with,” says Marc Fletcher, managing director of Synergy Corporate Technologies (South Africa). “The acquisition of Synergy and the merger of our respective Cape Town operations creates an exciting and compelling value proposition for customers in the region.
“Synergy was looking to strengthen its South African operations in the enterprise content management space. This acquisition will secure our foothold in South Africa, while we continue our efforts in international markets where we have already attained substantial success over the past five years.”
“Synergy and Intervate share complementary skills as well as a strategic Microsoft partnership, which makes the combination of these two companies a logical step,” adds Van As. “The merged company will enhance our service offering in the Western Cape and boost our overall Microsoft competency substantially.”
Both Intervate and Synergy customers will continue to experience high levels of service from the combined organisation. The company is now also in a stronger position to provide national support to large enterprises and deliver cost-effective, value-adding solutions to local customers.
