Intervate, a T-Systems company, is proud to announce it has been recognised with a total of two accolades at the 2015 Microsoft Partner Network, Partner of the Year Awards and gala dinner, held at Urban Tree in Sandton, Johannesburg on 21 October 2015. The annual awards ceremony honours Microsoft partners for delivering meaningful and innovative solutions that directly address customer challenges.

Intervate won two awards at this year's ceremony, namely: Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year; and Application Development Partner of the Year. In addition, the company was a finalist for the Cloud Excellence Award.

This is the ninth year running that Intervate has achieved the Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year award, and the second year in a row winning the Application Development Partner of the Year award. As a Microsoft Gold Partner and an organisation with a longstanding relationship with Microsoft that has grown over the past 16 years, Intervate continues to demonstrate excellence in its use of Microsoft technologies to transform its customers' business models and processes.

Says Lionel Moyal, Managing Director of Intervate: "Every year the Collaboration and Content Partner of the Year is highly contested by some of the biggest names in the industry. Having achieved this for the past nine years, we believe is testament to our dedication and excellence."

"Winning the Application Development Partner of the Year Award for the second time is another milestone for us, as it shows the success of our strategy to help our customers embrace digital transformation through cloud and mobile technology platforms. We are also proud of the fact that we were a finalist in the Cloud Excellence Award, as this too is a significant achievement, and we are proud of the team for this recognition."

The award winners were selected based on their dedication to innovation and use of Microsoft technologies to provide solutions for their customers' needs.

"Content and Collaboration is our core focus as an organisation and our goal is to constantly innovate. We strive to help customers embrace the possibilities of digital transformation, assisting them to reinvent their business processes and productivity utilising innovative content management solutions. Winning this award is an indication that we are on the right track," adds Moyal.

The Application Development Partner of the Year award acknowledges applications built specifically for the Windows platform that demonstrate innovation and the ability to leverage mobile and digital disruption successfully. Intervate's Citizen Reporting Platform, the foundation of a number of its apps, including last year's winning Johannesburg Roads Agency Find&Fix app, has proven its value once again this year. Utilising this framework and partnering with Intervate, local start-up Cool Touch has radically elevated its business model by embracing mobile app technology. The intuitive Snap! app provides a service through which facilities management and building management companies can log incidents that require maintenance work, and have tasks easily or automatically assigned to reputable maintenance crews in the local area.

"For us, what is key in our achievement of this award is the fact that, utilising our Citizen Reporting framework, we have been able to generate apps that have wide-ranging use within a number of industries that have typically been non-technology focused, such as government departments and facilities management. The latest app to leverage this framework, the soon-to-be-launched Community Shield app, enables citizens within communities to report and receive information on suspicious activities in their area. Through these apps we have been able to bring a variety of different industries effectively into the digital age," says Moyal.

"The team at Intervate would like to thank Microsoft for this recognition, and to express our gratitude to them and the entire Microsoft partner ecosystem. Microsoft creates technology that enables us as partners to do great things, and we work with many strong Microsoft partners who are also excelling in their fields. Congratulations to all of the other winners on their achievements, and for continuing to inspire us to deliver great solutions."
