Santa Clara, California, 29 Oct 2001

Interwise(R), the foremost provider of real-time enterprise communications solutions, today announced the appointment of Jim Manzi as non-executive chairman of the Board of Directors, and the addition of John Landry to the board, effective immediately.

Jim Manzi, former chairman, president and CEO of Lotus Development Corp., and a board member since May 2000, assumes the role of non-executive chairman of the board to guide the company`s direction and growth. Manzi, a pioneer in collaboration and Internet technologies, is expanding his leadership to advance Interwise`s worldwide recognition and presence as a leader in live and on-demand collaboration, communications and eLearning with its new Enterprise Communications Platform(TM) (see "Interwise Delivers ECP, Industry`s First Live Internet-based Enterprise Communications Platform," Oct. 29, 2001). In addition to his recent involvement with a variety of technology startup ventures, Manzi serves as a director of BBI, an online business and professional education company founded in Japan.

John Landry brings 25 years of technology, business development and leadership experience with software companies such as Lotus Development Corp., Dun & Bradstreet, Cullinet Software and McCormack & Dodge to Interwise, and increases the Board`s membership to nine. He is founder and managing director of Lead Dog Ventures, a new-age business accelerator, providing emerging technology enterprises access to a well-developed network of intellectual, relationship and financial capital.

"Jim Manzi has brought a keen market savvy and broad perspective to our board. Further, he has demonstrated a focused commitment to helping Interwise secure a leadership position among Global 2000 organizations. In addition, we are pleased to welcome John Landry to the board, and expect to gain a wealth of knowledge and strategic guidance from his vast experience," said Frank Zvi, president and CEO of Interwise. "With these two powerful industry leaders, our board and management team are well-armed to lead the market while meeting and exceeding our customers` expectations for live and on-demand communications."

"Interwise, by far, is best positioned to be the defining platform for business-to-business real-time Internet-based communications," said Manzi. "Our product vision, combined with sound marketing and sales execution, positions us on the verge of becoming the dominant player in this market."

"Leveraging experience in the $23 billion eLearning market, the Interwise vision for enterprise communications capitalizes on what Collaborative Strategies considers to be a $100 billion market opportunity," said Landry. "I truly believe Interwise`s technology is redefining the market landscape for interactive communications and has the potential to affect significant change in the way organizations conduct business."
