InTouch voted No. 1 by Control readers
Johannesburg, 18 Jul 2003

Control magazine`s readers recently awarded Wonderware`s InTouch the number one position in the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) category.

In the annual reader survey, InTouch was selected as the most popular application for industrial automation, process control and supervisory monitoring. InTouch software is in world-wide use at more than 180 000 installations in a variety of industries including food processing, oil and gas, automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, paper and pulp, transportation and power utilities.

Control magazine`s "Reader`s Choice" awards were determined by a survey of 24 000 selected Control subscribers. The readers were asked to name the top vendors in 65 industrial automation technology categories and to rate their customer service.

The latest version of InTouch is part of the FactorySuite A2 product series which provides factory automation solutions based on ArchestrATM software architecture. The "A2" indicates that the product uses ArchestrA technology.

`InTouch has been available since 1984,` says Mike le Plastrier of Futuristix. `Many competitors use this to discredit the product as "old" while not acknowledging the numerous user-driven enhancements it has received over the years. This survey shows that InTouch continues to be the solution of choice for industrial automation professionals world-wide and that it was "built to last". The new ArchestrA-based InTouch combines an enviable track record of immense accumulated knowledge and experience with the latest technologies, to the envy of its critics and to the business benefit of its users.`
