Evershree Mathadeen has just stepped into her new role as distribution channel manager for MGE Office Protection Systems.
Tasked with creating more channel awareness and the marketing of the new MGE Office Protection Systems' brand, Mathadeen says she is excited about her new responsibilities.
"As the new distribution channel manager, I'm going to concentrate my efforts on two main areas: developing and implementing an MGE Office Protection Systems channel partner programme; and assisting the channel in taking our UPS solutions to the market."
Mathadeen's new channel partner programme will be designed specifically for the South African market and will enable MGE Office Protection Systems' partners to receive the rewards and recognition they deserve for their investment in the company and its products.
It will additionally assist partners by providing them with access to tools and information that will increase their expertise and help the channel in taking the company's UPS solution to market.
"One of the core challenges we're currently facing is the fact that most channel partners do not yet have the UPS competencies to offer a service around the UPS solutions they sell. By assisting channel partners with their sales training, we hope to build their selling skills and help them sell integrated UPS solutions.
"They will be further supported by our channel account manager, and business development and pre-sales technical consultants." Mathadeen is confident the programme will foster relations between MGE Office Protection Systems and its current channel partners, as well as attract new partners to the company.
Mathadeen says she is going to be supported by a young and vibrant team of go-getters: "My team throughout the country is extremely dedicated and hardworking. We're all committed to achieving both the group and individual targets."
As to her goals in her new position, she explains she has a number of both short-term and long-term goals she has already started working towards: "My short-term goals include training and supporting our IT channel partners to enable them to deliver the best possible end-user solutions, and to make MGE Office Protection Systems' products easily accessible to our partners. I'm also working towards making our brand the brand of choice in the UPS industry - for both resellers and users."
Despite having her work cut out for her following the recent merger of the company, Mathadeen is excited about her new role: "I am always up for a challenge and a new adventure - exactly what this new position offers me. The industry can expect a whole heap of new things from MGE Office Protection Systems in the future. They would do well to keep watching this space."
