Introstat (Pty) Ltd, a leading national supplier of printer and PC supplies and accessories, has changed its commodities trading name to buy247. This became effective from 1 April 2006.
"We have been looking to make this decision for some time," says Piers Proctor, Group Sales Director. "Our customer profile has been changing over the past few years, and today, we find ourselves trading predominantly in the SMB market. This presents enormous opportunities, but requires a number of changes to our current organisation and go to market strategy."
He adds: "We have decided to change the Introstat brand name to a more `retail` look and feel in the form of buy247." This brand is more in line with our future strategy and will lend itself well to the aggressive marketing and advertising programmes we will be running.
The new brand will also be diversifying its product range and service offering. It will now supply a range of leading brand PCs, notebooks computers, monitors, software, printers and multifunction copiers, digital cameras and projectors. These will be added to its existing range of supplies.
Piers says: "We are now able to offer small and medium businesses with a select range of technology products at excellent prices, a 24-hour delivery guarantee and payment convenience. These qualities are lacking in the current supply chain to this customer sector."
The Introstat brand will continue under the document solutions division banner.
