
Invensys acquires Skelta Software
Invensys Operations Management has acquired Skelta Software, a privately held software product development company headquartered in Bangalore, India, reports CXOToday.
Founded in 2003, Skelta provides enterprise-wide business process management (BPM) and advanced workflow software solutions for companies of every size in several industries.
"Skelta technology will enable Invensys Operations Management and our global network of ecosystem partners to deliver new, easy-to-configure workflow, collaboration and process-centric applications," says Sudipta Bhattacharya, president and CEO, Invensys Operations Management.
Orbis debuts file management tool
Orbis Software has added a file management tool to its BPM suite, according to Open PR.
The tool is the first of the new specialised file management and integration BPM tools that Orbis Software will release for SMEs
Paul Garratt, Orbis Software product manager, commented: “The release of this tool will provide SMEs with a powerful method in which address common file management challenges which in many cases will remove the need for the deployment of a high-end document workflow solution.”
IBM showcases WebSphere enhancements
IBM's Impact event around SOA and BPM technology featured several IBM WebSphere enhancements, plus the official unveiling of IBM's cloud IT certification programme, states Channel Inside.
As more customers and partners look to cloud computing as a potential answer to their IT headaches, IBM has valued the market for its SOA and BPM technology at more than $60 billion in annual revenues.
IBM also announced plans to acquire hybrid cloud integration technology provider Cast Iron.
