Invensys outsources HR, payroll

Invensys, the global technology group, has outsourced its HR and payroll processes for 21 000 staff across 50 countries, says HR Magazine.

The firm will work with NorthgateArinso to implement a self- element so staff can HR administration themselves, taking the pressure off the HR team and allowing it to concentrate on strategic plans.

The seven-year contract, worth £35 million (R452.5 million) will mean HR, payroll, learning and compensation performance management will all be outsourced and Invensys will also payroll in some countries.

American Laser Centers selects UltiPro

Ultimate Software says American Laser Centers has selected UltiPro for its unified human capital management (HCM) functionality, states Accounting Software 411.

This includes HR, payroll, benefits, performance management, onboarding, learning management, salary planning and budgeting, and time management.

Previously, American Laser Centers had been using a payroll service bureau, but HR and payroll associates realised they needed a more sophisticated HCM system to improve service to employees and help the company operate more strategically.

Sage extends ERP usability

Sage expands compatibility for its enterprise resource planning and human resource management system software offerings, states eWeek.

The company has unveiled an integration of the Sage MAS 500 ERP and Sage Abra SQL HRMS.

This integration extends functionality to the HR back office, while improving efficiency for customers by automating HR and payroll tasks and eliminating duplicate data entry processes.
