Comprehensive protection in common areas
Efficient management of dense foot traffic and student safety requires continuous monitoring across common areas, entry points and training grounds – all without placing an additional burden on staff. The high school’s new sensor technology integrates with its existing video solutions to automatically detect unusual movement patterns, overcrowding and physical distress.
Respecting privacy with smart sensor technology
While video analytics protect open campus areas, sensitive locations like restrooms and locker rooms require a privacy-first approach. To extend safety monitoring without compromising student privacy, the high school integrated HALO Smart Sensors that operate entirely without recording video. These multi-sensors monitor environmental conditions and air quality, detecting smoke, vape emissions and chemical masking agents. They also detect acoustic spikes, such as shouting, aggression or calls for help, triggering automated alerts so staff can intervene before situations escalate.
