ForgeAhead has invited owners and managers of small and medium ICT enterprises to take part in the FutureTalk briefing next month at MTN`s offices in Fairlands, Johannesburg.
The aim of the event is to provide various stakeholders of the African ICT Awards with an opportunity to network and gain inside information from the 2005 achievers.
Invited guests include 2004 top SMME award winner Kevin Paul of Nambiti Technologies and Joel Sekoala, the 2004 top company award winner. Tebogo Makgato of Torque-IT and Tebogo Khaas of the SMME Forum are also expected to attend.
FutureTalk is a series of events hosted by ForgeAhead as part of the annual African ICT Achievers Award, which ForgeAhead hosts in partnership with the Department of Communications.
The first briefing took place in June and was aimed at the youth. Future briefings aimed at women and civil society groups will take place on 11 August and 8 September respectively.
ForgeAhead has also urged companies, individuals, government departments and civil society organisations to submit their nominations for the African ICT Achievers Award as soon as possible. Nominations close on 17August.
Details about the briefing, as well as a nomination form for the award, are available on the African ICT Achievers Web site.
