Iocom welcomes board member
Edward Zander, most recently CEO and chairman of the board of Motorola, has joined software provider for enterprise-class video conferencing capabilities, Iocom's board of advisors, reports Market Watch.
In this role, Zander is welcomed by 11 other top executives made up of experienced business and technology leaders, who help guide the overall business strategy and direction of the company.
"Iocom's unique software approach to the visual communication problem will disrupt traditional hardware models and establish 'anytime, anywhere, any device' visual meetings as a new communication category," states Zander.
S3 reveals Chrome 500
S3 Graphics has revealed its next-generation Chrome 500 graphics processors, building on its product family based on the most power-efficient GPU architecture on the market, states ITWire.
Users will be able to enjoy Blu-ray playback, streaming HD video, DirectX 10.1, and OpenGL 3.0 applications on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
With the Chrome 500 Series, users can watch Blu-ray movies and bonus features with picture-in-picture, while enjoying eight channels of high-fidelity audio with the S3 Graphics' built-in Dolby 7.1 digital surround sound processor.
Hitachi enters rental, staging market
Effectively resetting the standard for performance and versatility in rental/staging, video conferencing and large houses of worship applications, Hitachi Home Electronics (America) is introducing the Professional Series, CP-X10000 3LCD projector, according to Ad-hoc News.
The CP-X10000 projector is the first model to be introduced from the Professional Series, offering a brightness of 7 500 ANSI lumens as well as a 2 500:1 contrast ratio.
The CP-X10000 features inorganic optics, which means longer projector life, and it offers a 10 000-hour filter, making maintenance easy. The ultra-wide range lens shift and 10-bit full digital video processing add a new level of dynamic presentation, while networking connectivity enables remote maintenance and management.
