Iot.nxt appointed John Neville, previously Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at Nasdaq-listed ADTRAN, as Chief Commercial Officer to support the company's explosive growth as it addresses rapidly expanding IOT markets across the globe.

"John brings a wealth of experience, executive relationships and industry knowledge. I am confident that his track record of success in leading world-class sales organisations at Verizon, Terremark Worldwide, Ericsson and most recently at ADTRAN, will support and enhance our global expansion drive," says IoT.nxt CEO Nico Steyn.

According to Neville, IOT technology is currently the fastest growing sector in the ICT industry. "I am excited about joining the most innovative IOT company, currently on the fast-track to reach many regions and deliver solutions to a variety of industries. A recent announcement that telecom giant Vodacom has acquired a majority stake in IoT.nxt (media statement) provides IoT.nxt a quantum leap in access to customers on a global basis. It is the perfect time to join the company," Neville added.

Neville holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from SMU. He has also completed the Executive Program at University of Virginia Darden as well as the Advanced Telecommunications Management Program at Columbia University in NYC.

He will be based at IoT.nxt's office in Dallas, Texas.

IoT.nxt's unique and agnostic IOT technology stack is a highly scalable agile IOT digitisation platform. Its patented IoT.nxt Raptor edge gateway technology allows organisations to rapidly digitise and retrofit onto all existing legacy devices and blend this with new and more modern technologies. A powerful cloud-based data abstraction model further translates anything and everything from the edge, supporting a true subscription-based big data model. IoT.nxt is the enterprise solution category winner and overall winner of the MTN Business IoT Award 2017 in South Africa. IoT.nxt opened its European office in The Hague, The Netherlands in 2017 and set up US-based operations out of Dallas and Tampa in October 2018.

ADTRAN, a leading provider of next-generation open networking and subscriber experience solutions, announced its collaboration with IoT.nxt at Mobile Tech World, in Barcelona, in February. Through this partnership, carriers and companies around the world can design new services and solutions by bringing together various streams of IOT device data into a single, easy-to-use platform.
