IPTV integration platform deployed
Teknovus announced the availability of its TK3713 optical network unit (ONU) chip, which is used in fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) access networks, Digit-Life.com reports. The TK3713 has the industry`s highest level of integration and provides all the features needed for a single-chip, IPTV-capable ONU.
Michael Howard, co-founder of Infonetics Research, notes with the proliferation of bandwidth-hungry FTTH applications, especially IPTV, the next-generation home gateways must step up the performance curve.
"Teknovus is providing a leading edge integration platform designed for the next wave of CPE to meet carrier requirements for cost reduction," he said.

Reuters releases cross-asset platform
Reuters announced the release of Reuters DataScope Select, a data delivery solution that provides customers with the ability to retrieve the full range of Reuters` extensive pricing and reference data when they want it, how they want it.
The cross-asset platform provides the full range of Reuters` extensive pricing and reference data. The service is tailored to each client`s requirements, allowing the flexibility of access to real time, end of day, historical pricing and reference data updates.
Through this service, Reuters will make it easier for its clients to fulfil their legislative reporting requirements, as well complying with Basel II and Sarbanes-Oxley recommendations. In addition to providing centralised, automated reference/pricing data management services, such services reduce operational risk, streamline costs and facilitate front-to-back office data integration.
