Internet service provider Internet Solutions (IS) has partnered with mobile operator Cell C to offer mobile broadband deals on the operator's new 3.74G HSPA network.
Cell C has been in the process of a city-by-city nationwide roll-out of its new network, creating a stir along the way with some competitive mobile broadband pricing. Gauteng is expected to be connected to the network by mid-November.
Now IS has announced its intention to take advantage of the new network and competitive pricing. Through the partnership, IS will offer 12-month packages of 2Gb or 5Gb data service, with a rent-to-own hardware option.
“Customers can select either threshold in conjunction with their choice of 7.2Mb- or 21Mb-capable modem,” says Brett Steingo, innovation and technology manager of the Connectivity Business Unit, at Internet Solutions.
“Corporate clients with over 100 users and channel partners, rated as 'Gold or Platinum', according to the IS Value Channel Partner Programme, will be first to gain access to this offering,” he adds.
“In addition to the advantage of mobility, extremely competitive pricing makes the Cell C service a viable substitute to iBurst or DSL,” says Steingo.
Cell C offers two packages: a modem capable of speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and 2GB of data every month, for a period of 12 months, for R1 499 on an annual basis; and a modem capable of speeds of up to 21.6Mbps and 5GB of data every month, for a period of 12 months, for R2 999.
