Internet Solutions (IS) announced the availability of a converged Internet connectivity service to its wholesale channel. Consumer Connect will allow clients to stay connected when travelling over the festive season via the national AlwaysOn Hotspot network.
IS has bundled IS uncapped DSL and AlwaysOn Hotspot WiFi access, providing a consumer broadband solution that offers clients an integrated rand-based DSL and WiFi bundle that is managed through a single account. As such, Consumer Connect clients can use a single username and password to log on to their uncapped DSL account from home or access any AlwaysOn Hotspot while on the move. The AlwaysOn Hotspot network currently boasts in excess of 1 000 national locations, which include major hotels, airports, numerous popular restaurant chains and retail locations.
Consumer Connect clients will also enjoy the convenience of AlwaysOnSmart, which affords users the ability to authenticate laptop, smartphone and tablet devices for automatic sign on at AlwaysOnSmart enabled Hotspots. This makes it the ideal solution for consumers looking for a seamless connectivity experience.
In addition, the Consumer Connect service permits concurrent connections, allowing two users simultaneous connectivity using the same credentials.
The DSL component of the Consumer Connect solution offers reliable, low-latency uncapped connectivity. Consumer Connect clients will also get up to 1GB AlwaysOn Hotspot WiFi access, depending on the speed of their DSL account.
