Microsoft Gold Certified partner, IS Partners, has announced that it has fulfilled the requirements for the Microsoft Performance Management Specialisation, becoming the first certified partner in Africa to be recognised with this qualification.
Certification for the Microsoft Performance Management Specialisation requires partners to meet criteria based on certifying consultants and providing reference sites for Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 implementations.
"Customer sites have to feature implementations of Microsoft Performance Management solutions based on PerformancePoint Server 2007, and be completed within the previous 12 months," explains Ryan Jamieson, director at IS Partners.
He adds that this specialisation now extends IS Partners' competency within the business intelligence framework, and adds to its existing competencies in data management, CRM and information worker.
"We have fulfilled all the requirements for the Performance Management Specialisation and have demonstrated our proficiency at various customer sites through the implementation of the Microsoft Performance Management Toolsets," he says.
As product launch partners and part of Microsoft's Technology Adoption Programme (TAP), IS Partners has participated in testing of the PerformancePoint Business Intelligence suite since the pre-beta version in 2006.
Jamieson adds that IS Partners was also the first local partner to offer training on PerformancePoint when it was first launched.

Through this specialisation, Microsoft recognises our ability to implement technologies within a set of competencies - PerformancePoint now being one of these," Jamieson says.
Microsoft PerformancePoint 2007, released late last year, provides key capabilities that help organisations align their business to strategic corporate goals and objectives through integrated financial planning and performance management.
