IS provide a secure offering to customers taking their business on-line

IS (The Internet Solution) is offering a fast reliable and secure service to customers wanting to take their business online. The likes of Discovery Health and Estrin Software have put their hosting and security solutions to the test.

IS Hosting assisted Discovery by enabling them to take online secure registrations and payments for the 1300 teams entering the corporate relay.

"We were looking for an online electronic payment solution that could be built into the Discovery Challenge Web site," says Trent Rossini, head of eDiscovery, Discovery Health. "IS` solution was cost effective and they were responsive in dealing with the teething problems of getting the solution up and running and once we had the integration working, the solution performed well," adds Rossini.

"The service offered to Discovery Health by IS Hosting, is based on the SET protocol developed by both VISA and Mastercard. This service links you directly into the bank ensuring the process is kept to a minimum and security to an optimum," says Brian Michaels, Transactions Product Manager at IS.

Estrin Software, another client of IS Hosting, recently launched EnergyZone.co.za an online health and fitness store. EnergyZone`s dedicated Web server is hosted by IS Hosting and all of their credit card transactions are processed though the IS Hosting secure Transaction Server payment gateway.

"We wanted an infrastructure company that was able to take care of both hosting and transaction processing, IS Hosting do," says Uri Estrin chief operating officer Estrin Software Corporation.

"IS has taken precautions to obtain high levels of security, by installing the latest firewall technology. The transaction servers have been checked by two independent security audit firms for any vulnerabilities. To increase security to the merchant IS does not pass on the credit card number to the merchant, thereby avoiding any risks to the merchant and their clients," Michaels adds.
