Cape Town comedians, Stuart Taylor, Colin Moss, Cokey Falkow and Kurt Schoonraad have decided that it`s time to give something back to the community. They have selected the Christine Revell Children`s Home, an orphanage for kids affected with HIV, as this year`s beneficiary. The Baxter theatre has been booked for a once off inaugural performance on 3 November 2004. All proceeds go to the children`s home.
Internet Solutions (IS) has agreed to match 50% of all the ticket sales. Says Kate Michalaro, marketing manager for IS: "We`d love to see the Baxter theatre completely sold out. If you are in Cape Town, go along and spend a fun evening, knowing you are contributing to a worthy cause. All our Cape Town staff have been encouraged to attend the show and we throw down a challenge to our customers in the area to treat themselves to a fun night out."
Stuart Taylor hopes this will the first of many more performances to come. "We are planning to repeat this next year to raise more funds for other worthy causes. With support like that of IS, we hope to make a difference in the lives of these kids."
