Internet Solutions (IS) has taken a majority shareholding in Cape-based InCite Smart Services for an undisclosed amount. The company will be renamed IS Gated Services (ISGS).
In an announcement yesterday, Dimension Data's Internet service provider (ISP) said the agreement would allow it access to specialist services for gated commercial, business and residential communities.
Hillel Shrock, director of business solutions at IS, explains: "ISGS provides gated installations with services such as secure and reliable broadband Internet, e-mail, telephone and intercom services.
"They have a good track record and reputation within property development and management entities, as well as within the communities they serve. This deal combines the country's largest independent ISP with ISGS's experience in providing targeted customers with tried and tested end-to-end services."
Garth Dahl, joint MD of InCite, says the company hopes to leverage the partnership to take the business and its offerings to new levels.
InCite provides services to a variety of residential and commercial communities.
