ISACA hosts CISM Bootcamp

Johannesburg, 22 Jul 2013

ISACA South Africa is pleased to be hosting a Bootcamp for Certified Information Security Managers (CISM), after the 2013 Annual Conference at Emperors Palace. This is the first time the ISACA CISM training session will be held in South Africa. The bootcamp will be held at Emperors Palace on 28 and 29 August 2013.

The uniquely management-focused CISM certification promotes international security practices and recognises the individual who manages, designs, and oversees and assesses an enterprise's information security. Recent independent studies consistently rank CISM as one of the highest paying and sought after IT certifications. There are currently 185 ISACA members in South Africa who hold this highly sought after certification.

Whether or not you intend to sit for the CISM exam, this course is a powerful way to equip yourself with the knowledge of the core competencies that define a successful information security manager.

The course will follow the review manual and examination flow and will entail two intense days of working through the review manual content. The course is presented in an interactive manner to ensure the underlying concepts are understood and examination questions can be analysed properly to achieve the best answers. Delegates will sit for a mock CISM exam at the end of day two.

This two-day course will be presented by the Vice-President of ISACA International, Rams'es Gallego, a long-serving ISACA board member and world-renowned Security Strategist and evangelist from Spain.

Delegates who wish to write the 7 September sitting of the CISM exam have just a few days left to register for the exam. Registration will remain open until 24 July 2013, at 23:00 GMT. Click here to registeronline and save US $75!

Those wishing to register for the December exams are reminded that the CISA/CISM/CGEIT/CRISC exams are being held on 14 December 2013, and the early bird registration deadline is 21 August 2013! Save a further $50 by registering early. It is unlikely that the bootcamp will be repeated before December and we would recommend those intending to write the exam in December to attend the bootcamp in August.

Limited seating is available for the bootcamp and only 30 seats are available, so book your place now!
