ISACA South Africa is actively collaborating with professional bodies and organisations that foster common values and strive for similar outcomes to help realise the positive potential of technology. This has been achieved through memorandums of understanding that outline initiatives and activities to engage, upskill and grow the profession in partnerships.
In line with ISACA South Africa's 2018-2020 strategy, the chapter recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the CISO Alliance, at a Western Cape Regional event hosted at Ernst & Young premises, in Cape Town.
The CISO Alliance is run by the Alliance Media Group (AMG) in the United Kingdom. Both ISACA South Africa and AMG are based on professional values and the development of professional competencies consisting of knowledge, skills and behaviours of their respective members.
The chapter now proudly boasts its alliance network with the following organisations:
* Association of Certified Fraud Examiners of South Africa (ACFE SA);
* Institute of Internal Auditors of South Africa (IIA SA);
* Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IODSA);
* Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA); and
* AMG's CISO Alliance.
The chapter also looks forward, in anticipation, to additional partnerships that will be finalised during this year's annual conference. The ISACA South Africa annual conference will be hosted from 27 to 28 August 2018 at Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg.
Aptly entitled: "The Future is Now", the conference will provide in-depth insight on emerging trends, best practices and the tools and techniques required to survive and thrive in the ever-more complex world of the information systems landscape. This platform will provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with experts, thought leaders and fellow information systems and business professionals.
As an authoritative professional body in technology, information and cyber security, governance, risk and innovation, the ISACA South Africa chapter has been in existence for more than 26 years and operates across all major regions in South Africa.
