Isis Information Systems (ISIS), a subsidiary of the JSE Securities Exchange-listed Altech group, has announced the successful completion of a restructuring programme that sees the new-look company focusing on telecommunications.
Commenting on the changes, Craig Venter, CEO of Altech, said that in line with Altech`s telecommunications, multimedia and IT (TMT) convergence strategy, management had identified the telecommunications sector as a high-growth area.
"It is also a market sector in which ISIS has been involved for more than seven years and I am confident that the company`s growth will be fuelled by its outstanding technical skills and comprehensive business knowledge of the telecommunications service level management layer."
Venter said he was confident that the "new look" ISIS had the expertise, innovation and focus to add much needed value to that market segment.
He said that in line with the restructuring decision, ISIS had recently sold its Advanced Systems Division to Grintron, while two other divisions, Consulting and Projects, had been purchased by sister company, Keops Altech.
Manager of ISIS, Johan Gellatly, said that since the beginning of the year ISIS had grown its staff count from 60 to more than 100, which clearly indicated the level of business activity being experienced by the company. "Our clients include the largest mobile and fixed-line network operators in Africa," he said.
Looking forward, Gellatly said ISIS was at present in negotiations with smaller network operators that had expressed interested in the company`s services and product offerings. "We are also excited and optimistic about securing more African business."
He said ISIS would in future focus on system integration and software development in the telecommunications industry, particularly on enterprise application integration, subscriber provisioning and administration, billing, revenue assurance, fraud management and interconnect billing solutions.
"We have complemented our own product (I.P.R.) offerings with strategic international partnerships to offer our customers an end-to-end integrated solution. ISIS has found that while its customers want the best of breed, they also require a solutions partner that can provide them with the peace of mind that solutions will integrate into their complex environments."
ISIS has offices in Centurion and Cape Town.
