Islamic strengthens HR practice
Dubai Islamic Bank is strengthening HR practice through the implementation of Oracle's iRecruitment, reports AME Info.
Oracle iRecruitment is a full-cycle recruiting solution that is claimed to give managers and recruiters the ability to manage every phase of finding, recruiting, and tracking new employees. Candidates are able to use the system to create personalised resumes as well as search and apply for jobs.
Focused on the manager-recruiter-candidate hiring relationship, this end-to-end recruitment offering is said to incorporate all aspects of applicant tracking, allowing managers, recruiters and candidates to fully manage the entire recruiting cycle via a self-service interface.
Acumen delivers employee management
Acumen Data Systems says new customers can save $250 on a one-year agreement for its employee time and attendance software, ClockView and LabourView for the month of September, writes Thomas Net.
ClockView and LabourView feature complete customisability and claim to have easy integration with payroll systems. Acumen's employee time and attendance software automates and simplifies tracking employee time, reporting, and record keeping - making the process faster and more reliable at the same time, according to the company.
Both applications are said to allow managers to track employees' time worked, vacation time, overtime pay, sick time, and more while allowing employees to view any time and attendance-related information the manager deems appropriate.
Project fixes payroll giving challenges
Encouraged by the new payroll-giving legislation introduced earlier this year, the Payroll Giving Foundation is ambitiously setting out to raise money with non-profit organisations from employee and employer contributions, writes Voxy.
In partnership with the foundation's initial charity partners, including Barnardos New Zealand, CCS Disability Action, Forest and Bird, Unicef New Zealand, Volunteer Service Abroad and WWF New Zealand, is the foundation's new project Web site, DonorView, designed to seek discussion on how employer and charity software systems can communicate with each other in the most efficient way.
Significant effort has been put into introducing payroll giving to New Zealand. However, it is early days and the country still has some way to go to create a culture of payroll giving.
