ISOCOR, a leading Internet messaging and directory software developer, today announced N-PLEX Connect (now incorporated into ISOCOR`s product MetaConnect) has been awarded a `1999 Product of the Year Award` by Miller Freeman Network Magazine and N-PLEX Global has been awarded Network Computing`s `Well Connected` award for the second consecutive year.
Paul Gigg, ISOCOR`s President and Chief Executive Officer commented "These two new awards help strengthen our position as a market leader in each of our primary markets: Meta-directory solutions for large corporations (MetaConnect) and Internet messaging for Internet Service Providers (N-PLEX). ISOCOR competes in the Internet Messaging and Directory market, which independent industry analysts estimate at $600 million in 1999 and growing at 30% per year."
Mr. Gigg continued, "Critical needs for corporations include the ability to communicate externally and trade electronically; to increase internal IT efficiency; and to move information reliably and securely across the enterprise. ISOCOR addresses these needs with our new meta-directory solution, MetaConnect and our N-PLEX product family."
Located in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion, ISOCOR will preview MetaConnect 1.1 during the 1999 Networld+Interop Expo in Las Vegas May 12-16. ISOCOR will demonstrate MetaConnect 1.1 integrated with Microsoft`s Active Directory component of Windows 2000. "MetaConnect is designed to allow Active Directory to be the central repository for meta-directory applications. Our MetaConnect solution enables an organization to join and manage information from many environments, such as corporate relational databases, human resources applications, enterprise resource planning applications, network operating systems and telephone switches," said Ian Goldsmith, ISOCOR Product Marketing Manager.
ISOCOR designed the MetaConnect family of products to bring data together for effective intranet and Internet use, enabling an organization to provide accurate, up-to-date information to employees, customers and trading partners from existing data sources. MetaConnect manages the connections to disparate databases, directories and applications and joins information together to be centrally managed as a unified resource across the enterprise. The benefits include reduction in administration and infrastructure development costs, efficient internal and external business communications and improved security of corporate information.
N-PLEX Global is designed to handle large-scale, high-volume messaging requirements. Capable of handling millions of users, N-PLEX Global is an exceptionally fast, business quality Internet messaging server designed to address the specific requirements of Internet Service Providers and large organizations. "N-PLEX Global`s sophisticated anti-spam capabilities, combined with its availability on a range of hardware platforms, make it an excellent choice for carrier class Internet messaging," said Trudy Sonia, ISOCOR Product Marketing Manager.
