isoPOS scoops Accpac`s international developer of the year award

Johannesburg-based specialist point of sale software developer, isoPOS, won the Softline Accpac International Developer of the Year Award for 2005 at the Accpac annual conference held at the weekend (10-12 February).

Karl Wagner, managing director of isoPOS, said the award was an acknowledgement that the company`s point of sale software solutions function efficiently and add value for wholesale and retail organisations.

"We see it as recognition and reward on two fronts: firstly for the development effort undertaken and secondly for the end result -- a local point of sale solution that combines simplicity and ease of use with great functionality covering sales, purchasing and distribution, all smoothly integrated into the Accpac ERP back office."

Softline Accpac channel marketing manager Jacqui Scorgie said the isoPOS software had been highly successful in the marketplace during 2005. "It was the third-party Accpac product that really made an impact, growing the market share in the retail arena with the numerous sites sold."

Emphasising the rationale behind the development of isoPOS, the company`s technical director, Jacques Correia, said the focus had been on offering powerful but user-friendly POS software solutions with operational and management tools to streamline, simplify and control retail operations as well as provide business intelligence to sustain competitive advantage.

"Throughout this process our objective has been to produce software solutions that work the way customers want them to."
