IT Event Management (IT-EM), a specialist in IT solutions for events, has appointed Heinrich van Zyl as research and development director.
Van Zyl, who joined IT-EM as a junior developer in May 2003, after completing his Bachelor of Science degree in information technology at the Rand Afrikaans University, moved up quickly to become senior developer with the company.
In his new role as research and development director, effective as of April 2006, he is responsible for the company`s software development marketing strategy as well as the broader research and development required by IT-EM.

Heinrich`s eye for detail, drive for excellence and customer focus will add enormous value and ultimately help the company grow," says Stephan Potgieter, managing director of IT-EM.
IT Event Management specialises in IT solutions for events including online bookings, on-site registration, presentations, and security, tracking and communication technologies.
