IT WISE, the South African distribution partner for Packateer, has been nominated for a whole list of awards at this year`s Packeteer awards meeting held in Amsterdam in April. The nominations included:
* Best EMEA Admin Partner for 2001;
* Best EMEA Marketing Initiative For Simplicity for 2001;
* Best Rest of EMEA Packetshaper Project for 2001; and
* Packeteer Rest of EMEA Local Packeteer Hero for 2001.
IT WISE walked away with the award as Best Performing Rest of EMEA Packeteer distribution partner. The rest of EMEA region includes the whole of Africa, and five European countries, which accounts for over 100 distribution partners. The award was presented to Pieter Olivier, Technical Director of IT WISE.
IT WISE was appointed as the South African distribution partner for Packeteer in 2000 and in its first year of representing Packeteer, was awarded with the Best Market Maker award in EMEA.
Packeteer is a leading provider of application performance infrastructure systems that give enterprises and service providers a new layer of control for applications delivered across intranets, extranets and the Internet.
The awards dinner took place at the historic Renaissance Hotel in Amsterdam. Olivier said: "We take great pride in this award and would like to thank our resellers in SA, whose support made us yet again, one of the leading Packeteer distributors for the EMEA region."
Ernie Boardman, MD of IT WISE, also commended the resellers and added: "Receiving this award emphasises the quality of service delivery, the excellent people and the understanding of technology we have in SA. We may be relatively small in terms of the rest of the European market, but our aim is to continuously improve our relationships, both with end-users and resellers to ensure we will be on the awards list for the third year running."
