IT4Africa, the premier trade only distributor of selected technology products across the African continent, is celebrating its first anniversary of operations in SA.
The company was created three years ago out of an opportunity that was created by tier-one vendors creating an Africa focus and needing a vehicle to deliver distribution services to the continent. IT4Africa today provides supply chain and distribution services for a selected range of quality products with a core focus on market-leading brands, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Hewlett-Packard.
The South African operation focuses extensively on Fujitsu Siemens Computers and has achieved outstanding growth with this brand over the past year.
"We started out with a small base and are aggressively growing our reseller base with turnover growing rapidly on a monthly basis," says Hennie Crous, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of IT4Africa South Africa. "We are focused on offering a quality logistics and supply chain service to our increasing reseller base and through offering these resellers quality product like Fujitsu Siemens Computers, we are playing a role in assisting with the growth of their businesses."
The company recently announced the expansion of IT4Africa Namibia, a sub-branch of the South African operation. "The Namibian business has achieved substantial success in its first six months of operation and we feel that it is appropriate to expand our offering," says Crous. "We will increase our N$3 000 000 investment in line with the development of our business, and improve our service through implementing dedicated communications lines to Johannesburg; combining our warehousing and sales operations; improving our process and control methodologies; increasing our communications with our customers; and increasing our tier-one product offering.
"In line with our focus on quality in terms of tracking, control and accuracy, we have started our ISO 9000:2000 certification process and believe that our customers will see huge benefits in this."
IT4Africa`s Rivonia offices accommodate management, administration and a call centre. The company has warehouses in SA, Botswana, Namibia, France and the United Arab Emirates to service its continent-wide logistics requirements.
