Itec, the sole South African distributor of Konica office automation machines, has signed a R4.5 million nationwide deal with furniture retailer, Lewis Stores.
Following a two-month negotiation period, the parties closed the deal with a total order of 761 machines as well as a three-year service contract.
"Lewis Stores, one of our country`s top retail stores, is modernising and moving into the digital era with its purchase of the most current multifunctional copier technology," says Jacques Duyver, CEO of Itec.
According to Duyver, the deal is another feather in Itec`s cap, which over the past three years has grown its share of the copier market from a minimal 1% to 10.5% outstripping the market as a whole where competitors have either lost of maintained market share.
"Itec has developed a winning formula based on superior products from its Konica copier range as well as its other ranges such as the Oki facsimile, a total commitment to post-sale servicing and highly competitive pricing," he said.
