JBA today announced that Terry Wilcox had been promoted to head up JBA`s global
e-commerce product lines; his promotion coming on his 10th anniversary with the company. His new remit is to maintain the lead established by JBA`s e-commerce products in business-to-business and business-to-consumer World Wide Web based applications.
Speaking on his appointment, Wilcox said "JBA has a six-month lead on its competitors in deliverable e-commerce products. By anticipating and reacting to both customer needs and e-commerce trends, I intend to advance JBA`s e-commerce lead. Overcoming the isolation of the ERP system through Internet technology, JBA has created a suite of products that link onto our flagship, System 21, answering the needs of our mid-market customers:
JBA e.purchase
JBA e.supply
JBA e.shopper
- designed primarily for purchasing indirect goods such as consumables
- to enable customers to interrogate the vendor`s ERP system
- an electronic catalogue to sell goods and services.
