JD Edwards provides CRM to 8 500 bankers at Bank of America

Johannesburg, 07 Jul 2003

JD Edwards has completed the fourth phase of implementation of its CRM for Financial Services offering at Bank of America, the largest consumer bank in the US and one of the country`s largest commercial lenders.

In conjunction with the Bank of America, JD Edwards made the announcement at Quest Global Conference 2003 in Denver, Colorado.

With JD Edwards CRM - part of the JD Edwards 5 software family - implemented across multiple divisions, Bank of America expects to deepen client relationships and increase productivity.

"The financial services landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years, and JD Edwards is committed to helping companies in this industry succeed by offering a collaborative CRM solution that provides the flexibility and adaptability they require," says Mark Logan, VP and GM of CRM for Financial Services at JD Edwards. "JD Edwards will be able to help Bank of America succeed in targeting and cross-selling with its most profitable clients."

Dave Weaver, MD CRM Services at Bank of America, adds: "We were looking for a solution that allowed us to exploit the existing infrastructure in our various lines of business, yet was flexible and robust enough to support multiple lines of business in our organisation. JD Edwards CRM, with its open architecture and data mapping capability, allows us uniquely to manage client coverage, activities and performance, while providing an environment to support information sharing across lines of business."

In September 2000, Bank of America rolled out its first implementation of the software to 2 000 users in the Global Corporate Investment Bank (GCIB). Since then, GCIB has increased market share of underwriting and merger and acquisition business by more than 40%. Recently, an additional 3 000 private bankers were brought online, bringing the full implementation to more than 8 500 relationship managers using JD Edwards software.

Bank of America`s Global Corporate Investment Group, Commercial Segment, and Private Bank division are using JD Edwards CRM to expand existing banking relationships. The application tracks client and prospect relationships, and helps relationship managers refer business to other divisions in the bank.
