JD Edwards has announced the availability of its Human Resources and Payroll solutions for the South African market, enabling local organisations to enhance productivity and efficiency in the human resources (HR) and payroll functions.

JD Edwards South Africa, in partnership with Deloitte and Touche, has localised the JD Edwards HR and payroll software using industry experts and a team of applications consultants and developers. This expertise has ensured that the product meets the key requirements of South African legislation, such as tax compliance, employment equity reporting, South African statutory reporting, and year-end and IRP5 requirements.
With the JD Edwards Work Force Solution, the development of human assets can be aligned with corporate strategic goals using competency-based recruiting, development and compensation programmes. The solution allows both simple and complex payrolls to be managed and can accommodate multiple companies, locations and pay frequencies. In addition, compliance with governmental taxation and reporting can be maintained even with multiple provinces and tax identification numbers, while future and retroactive contract changes can be responded to rapidly and on-demand payment processing can be provided.
The Payroll workbench provides users with one central control panel where payroll needs can be executed, edited and verified. Summary information about the entire payroll can be viewed and users can drill down to all levels of detail from there. This function is integrated with other areas such as general ledger, accounts payable, benefits and shop floor.
Payroll Management allows users to:

* Recognise labour and overhead expenses as they occur for precise planning and variance analysis.
