JD Group, the largest multi-chain furniture retailer in Africa, has contracted PIC Solutions for a wide range of risk management services utilising the scoring, software and consulting teams.
The PIC Solutions Scoring and Modelling team will develop custom application and behaviour scorecards, along with the implementation of `joint odds` risk assessment using credit bureau scores, into all of the JD Group furniture chains.
The PIC Solutions Software team will be used to project manage and integrate multiple time-critical projects to ensure that these are achieved successfully, on time and to budget.
A RiskMentor contract will be used for the PIC Solutions Consulting team to provide ongoing refinement of JD Group`s credit risk decision policies, strategies and product assignments throughout the entire customer lifecycle. JD Group will benefit from this ongoing RiskMentor contract throughout the year, as it reserves a specific level of hours over a 12-month period which can then be used for professionals from any area of PIC Solutions expertise.
This contract is a significant expansion of the existing relationship and Dick Behrens, Director of Credit & Administration for JDG Trading (Pty) Limited, states: "In the current environment, it is imperative that credit grantors optimise risk assessment and use this information effectively within all business decisions. By using PIC Solutions analytical personnel to develop enhanced application and behaviour scorecards and combining this with credit bureau scores and new products, we will optimise our risk assessment processes. Using the PIC software and consulting resources, we will ensure that we implement and utilise this enhanced risk assessment within our business procedures to realise the benefits of this technology in terms of improved bottom line profitability."
