JMR Software has announced Productive Computer Insight (PCI) NetSupport Manager and NetSupport Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), to augment its stable of performance management products. This follows an agreement entered into with Blue Label Technology, official distributor of UK-based company PCI for southern Africa.
PCI`s NetSupport Manager is an award-winning PC remote control and desktop management solution that enables busy support managers and IT professionals to achieve improvements in customer service and cost reductions.
NetSupport Manager provides organisations with efficient remote centralised support to their user base.
The product connects support staff to the target user workstation or server and provides a host of functions for managing systems, placing the desktop enterprise under the total control of the support team.
"NetSupport Manager`s sophisticated remote control functions dramatically improve service to end-users. Response times are immediate and the problem is seen in real-time by the end-user and support person. The result is faster problem resolution, a satisfied user and a more effective support desk," explains Leon Theron, Sales and Marketing Director of JMR Software.
NetSupport Manager also offers extensive network and desktop management functions and is one of the most secure applications of its kind. As it is fully cross-platform compatible, working in a multi-platform environment presents no problem. The one package supports all major operating systems.
The second tool - NetSupport TCO - facilitates central management of an organisation`s workstations in a co-ordinated, secure and efficient manner while delivering industry-leading inventory reporting, software distribution, licence metering, Web-based help desk tracking and enterprise reporting.
"The importance of the PC as a business tool has increased significantly, especially as more companies operate in a networked environment. This has increased the cost of asset management dramatically. Using a superior tool such as NetSupport TCO can reduce the costs of distributed PC/LAN-based systems by more than 15% per node annually," says Theron.
NetSupport TCO allows companies to automatically monitor, manage and maintain their hardware and software in real-time.
The extensive monitoring capabilities for software and Internet metering mean that NetSupport TCO reports on current licence usage, and can also restrict application usage by users. Asset information can be used to set up an appropriate budget by accurately calculating the amount of hardware and software changes needed for system upgrades. Additionally, it allows users to proactively manage organisational changes.
"The focus of JMR has always been the development of customised solutions. A bouquet of international product agencies and alliances complements this business focus. The new NetSupport products from PCI round out an already excellent bouquet of products," says Theron.
JMR Software represents a number of leading international software companies in SA, namely GT Software, Sapiens, Nastel and recent addition William Data Systems. The company uses specialised software products to optimise clients` IT infrastructure, providing clients with cost-effective solutions.
