John Bannister, IT Director at Multimatics, specialist in the telecommunications arena, has been elected as one of the guest speakers at CeBIT Australia.
CeBIT will take place from 1 to 3 May this year. Over the years, Bannister has acquired an extensive knowledge of the calculations required for telephone management systems, VOIP calculations, multiple least-cost routing and call centre management systems.
Bannister will be a speaker at the CeBIT, VOIP and IP Communications Expo. The VOIP and IP Comms Conference is a one-day business conference which will showcase the various VOIP solutions for the SME market as well as examine the latest VOIP technologies and migration strategies into effectively implementing an overall business solution with VOIP.
The conference will also reflect upon the impact to overall business structures and ensuring its value is maximised in a business environment. The opening keynote is from Mark Spencer, President, Digium - the creators of the Asterisk PBX switch.
Bannister's presentation will focus on effective and accurate ways to analyse a company's call records in order to choose the correct solution in terms of rates and "metering periods" offered by telephony carriers. The speech will not be limited to VOIP only as the principles are the same for all telephony carriers.
"South Africa and Australia have very similar histories regarding telecommunications and the regulation and deregulation thereof. In both countries the confusion surrounding the countless plan types, call rates, call connection fees and call placement methodologies abounds. Multimatics has the technology and techniques to clear the confusion and we hope to generate interest in our products and services while we are there," comments Bannister.
