Jouve Data Management and CommerceQuest today announced a joint initiative to deliver secure technical and inventory data electronically to airlines and their suppliers worldwide.
"This is the first time secure integration of SPEC 2000 and 2100 information has been made available over the Internet," said Colin Osborne, chairman of CommerceQuest. "This type of integration requires sophisticated transformation of data, routing, management and auditing to provide the mission-critical quality of service necessary in aircraft operations."
Leveraging industry standards, SPEC 2000 and 2100, the companies will link all value chain stakeholders to aircraft part procurement databases and digital marketplaces, providing the most efficient integration of aircraft technical and material management data over the Internet. For aerospace OEMs, operators and MRO providers, this integration delivers end-to-end technical documentation management capabilities across and between their enterprises. Additionally, up-to-date aircraft parts information will become immediately accessible, allowing technical data research and parts ordering to take place in a single session.
"Jouve is delighted to join with CommerceQuest to further our ability to support our customers` business processes end-to-end," said Charles Buckner, president of Jouve Data Management and AviationZone Inc. "This effort will improve aircraft maintenance cycle times and inventory management by providing efficient, global access to procurement data and aircraft components inventory, further increasing the return on investment our customers have made in Jouve`s products and services."
Jouve is the leader in ATA standards-based digital document solutions for airlines and aerospace companies using their AirGTI software suite and AviationZone.net, a web portal developed by Jouve Group to securely transport aviation-industry technical data. CommerceQuest is a leading provider of trusted e-business integration products and services to corporations and Net Market Makers.
How it works
According to the agreement, Jouve`s AirGTI software suite and AviationZone.net will provide the application programming interface (API) to link their customers` electronic documentation and legacy systems with procurement database(s) and aviation marketplaces. CommerceQuest will support these efforts with its enableNet Managed Service, delivering "any-to-any" e-business integration: any kind of data, shared across any application, hardware platform or network. By connecting to AirGTI over the Internet, enableNet will deliver secure, encrypted data conversion of SPEC 2000, 2100 and other digital data formats. Customers will have the option of linking their electronic documentation, inventory, and materials management systems through their internal local and wide area networks or through AviationZone.net.
