Juniper Bank, a US-based online financial services company and a division of Columbus Bank and Trust Company, has opted for Ascential Software`s DataStage as its business intelligence (BI) infrastructure platform.
According to Julian Field, GM of Ascential Software South Africa, the company was looking for a platform to manage and integrate its massive amounts of information assets, while giving a comprehensive view of customer activity including clickstream and Web traffic data.
DataStage allows Juniper Bank to access, consolidate and transform its volumes of customer data into valuable business intelligence. With DataStage, the company can track customer activity data and provide personalised customer service and products.
"It`s no secret that e-business in its first iteration has not yielded its full benefit," says Field. "One of the reasons is that e-businesses have not adequately thought through the use, design and reuse of their data for competitive advantage. This is vital as data encapsulates the organisation`s view of its customers.
