Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of visualisation and collaboration solutions for video walls, PCs and mobile devices, introduced today its new TouchCommand multi-touch system for display wall control and room automation. The TouchCommand product is designed to support Jupiter Systems' line of Fusion Catalyst display wall processors and PixelNet distributed display wall systems.
"TouchCommand creates a new level of display wall control by uniting all aspects of control room management on a single screen," said Brady O Bruce, Vice-President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Jupiter Systems. "The TouchCommand solution is designed for the ultimate in control and ease-of-use, making it easy for anyone to operate the system using familiar multi-touch gestures."
Rapid access to critical information
Jupiter's TouchCommand is built on distributed network architecture, enabling rapid access to critical information throughout the facility. The system features a powerful search engine to help find thumbnails via keyword. TouchCommand runs on PCs and tablets and makes it possible to manage audio, projectors and displays, and control lighting and other resources.
Maintaining security
The TouchCommand system includes security features requiring user authentication to access restricted information. Permissions to access various display walls, sources and features are defined by the administrator and managed in the TouchCommand Server. Authorised users can use TouchCommand to control remote video walls and room environments anywhere in the building or in other buildings within the enterprise.
Designed for the enterprise
Situational assessment, decision-making and response require the ability to see and share the "big picture" of events as they occur. TouchCommand presents enterprise managers with real-time display wall control and room automation for a variety of industries and public sector organisations, including manufacturing, finance, government, military, public safety, emergency operations, public utilities, traffic and transportation, healthcare, oil and gas, education, telecommunications, and many others.
