Kalliba Technologies first to assemble server memory in South Africa

Johannesburg, 03 Sep 2001

Kalliba Technologies has announced that it is the first in South Africa to assemble PC133 and PC100 registered ECC server memory modules. Kalliba products are distributed through local distributor, Axiz.

"The Kalliba server module range will provide an optimal solution with competitive pricing for the high-density performance sector of the high end and mainstream server applications throughout the market," says Colin Nish, marketing manager at Kalliba Technologies. "The range covers capacities from 128MB to 512MB, which will meet all customer memory requirements for "white box" and branded servers."

The Kalliba server memory range is based on six-layer IBM original printed circuit board (PCB) design, and is fully compliant with Intel specification standards.

Additional reliability is guaranteed with a "Phase Lock Loop" or PLL, which ensures data integrity should a system clock cycle be interrupted. The modules are double sided, which increases stability.

"The range has undergone thorough live testing on a variety of current server platforms and has passed all aspects," says Nish.

Kalliba server memory is sold with a limited lifetime warranty.
