Kalliba Technologies has memorable start to 2001

Kalliba Technologies, a local memory manufacturer based in Gauteng, has reported a bumper sales month in January, and with its recent IS0 9002 certification is looking forward to an excellent year.

"Now is the time for memory upgrades, as the DRAM market has reached a stable, low level - prices are better now for users than they have been for a long time," says Colin Nish, sales and marketing manager of Kalliba Technologies.

Kalliba Technologies has three brands of memory. Kalliba is its top-of-the-range offering, providing six-layer PCB modules and major-brand DRAM for the server, workstation and notebook market. Alpica is the mainstream desktop option, and M3 is available for the value PC market.

"All our modules are manufactured on the same production line, which was certified ISO 9002 compliant in early December," says Nish. "We were delighted with the certification, as it is unusual for a fledgling company such as ours to receive it so early in its history. What this means for our customers is that they can purchase memory products from Kalliba Technologies in total confidence."

Kalliba Technologies has also boosted its complement of sales and marketing staff, with the appointments of Nish as its sales and marketing manager, and Bruce Murphy as M3 and Alpica brand manager. Nish has transferred from his position as regional sales manager for Axiz` KwaZulu Natal office, and Murphy comes to Axiz with a wealth of experience in product and brand management from Pinnacle Micro.

"Kalliba, Alpica and M3 are now well established as the memory brands of choice for many resellers and corporates in SA," says Nish. "Kalliba Technologies is well positioned to provide the best memory products and services for the SA market, and to offer highly competitive pricing."
