security software provider, TeamF1, to introduce anti-malware monitoring services in home and business gateways.
The agreement is expected to enable networking original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to offer gateway anti-malware protection to home and small business users.
As part of the deal, Kaspersky Lab's anti-malware engine will be integrated into TeamF1's Secure F1rst family of gateway solutions.
According to Mukesh Lulla, TeamF1 president, end-point protection, while an important part of security, is no longer sufficient for today's constantly besieged networks.
“Network users need solid anti-malware protection at the gateway to be able to combat dangerous malware,” Lulla says.
According to Kaspersky, diverse types of malware such as viruses, Trojans, spyware, adware and key loggers means small and medium enterprises require a unified threat management strategy to control these myriad of threats.
Stephane Le Hir, Kaspersky Lab's VP of technology alliances, says: “This partnership will help OEMs served by TeamF1 to offer best-in-class devices to the market driven by our award-winning malware detection features.”
