Kaspersky has partnered with Fnatic, an e-sports company, to develop multiple joint initiatives including multi-channel digital content campaigns and a digital event series.
Through the partnership, Kaspersky and Fnatic aim to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security and its role in e-sports.
The security giant says it has been committed to the development of e-sports and gaming for many years, has sponsored events and championships, and has tailored its solutions for the specific needs of gamers.
The partnership highlights Kaspersky’s new ‘fearless gaming’ approach, which it intends to promote through a series of activities and content pieces developed in collaboration with the e-sports brand.
Andrew Winton, VP for global marketing at Kaspersky, says many Kaspersky employees are avid gamers so the company understands gamers’ interests, needs and behaviour. In order to make gaming truly fearless, it needs to be thoroughly protected, he adds.
The joint content, activations and digital events, which will be produced within the partnership, will be featured across Kaspersky and Fnatic digital channels. They will share, among other knowledge, best practices for how gamers can avoid cyber threats, secure in-game assets and how to make sure gaming remains fast and uninterrupted.
