Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces the opening of a regional office entitled to develop the company's business in Oceania. Alexey Gromyko, previously the Business Development Manager in Australia and New Zealand, was appointed Head of the regional office. The new office is located in Melbourne, Australia and will coordinate Kaspersky Lab's operations and business development in Australia, New Zealand and other countries of the Oceania region.
Kaspersky Lab has already been present in the Australian and New Zealand markets for several years. Many local companies and government institutions are among the company's valued customers and partners in these countries. Kaspersky Lab's products are already among the most popular IT security solutions in Australia and New Zealand, and the company's market share is showing very fast growth here.
Currently, Kaspersky Lab collaborates with six distributors and hundreds of resellers in Australia and New Zealand. The Kaspersky Lab regional office in Oceania will provide partners and users in the region with the most comprehensive support and will extend the range of available services. Besides, a direct company presence will establish closer cooperation with its partners and improve the quality of technical and marketing support. It is also important to note that Kaspersky Lab's constant presence in the region makes it possible to improve the reaction time against local IT threats even further.
"Australia and New Zealand were among the first international markets that our company entered in late 1990s. For the several years of our presence in the region, we have achieved not only a substantial market share and popularity, but also earned respect and recognition among our customers, and we are determined to keep it that way,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab. “Our new office in Australia will help us to improve the quality of our services provided both for end-customers and partners and will increase our business outreach throughout the entire Oceania region. I'd also like to note that the head of the regional office, Alexey Gromyko, is a highly professional manager who has years of experience in the Australian and New Zealand markets and has a deep knowledge of the IT security industry in the region. I believe that with his help our company will be able to become one of the most successful IT security companies in the entire Oceania very soon".
"Australia and New Zealand stand out prominently among other countries of the Asia-Pacific region being mature and developed markets, which deserve special attention from our company. That's why we decided to open a Kaspersky Lab regional office in Australia, which will manage our operations in the entire Oceania," said Harry Cheung, Managing Director in the Asia-Pacific region, Kaspersky Lab.
