Kathea, a dynamic supplier and value-added distributor of products and services for the communications sector, is soon to launch a new Bluetooth speakerphone - the Jabra SP100. The speakerphone is the ideal mobile solution for the car, office and home and allows for wireless hands-free conversation.
Jabra is the world`s leading provider of hands-free communication solutions for the mobile consumer market and enters the mobile speakerphone category with the SP100. The cordless, portable speakerphone works with the latest Bluetooth phones and allows hands-free conversations - when and where you want it.
"Kathea continues to provide resellers and distributors with wireless products that add convenience to consumers` everyday lives," says Gerard Vanden Bergh, Jabra Division at Kathea. "The Jabra SP100 is the first high-quality mobile speakerphone without cords that allows consumers to stay productive while on the go or in the office."
The Jabra SP100 speakerphone has many add-on features, designed to be as flexible and mobile as possible and therefore easily adapts to users` needs and requirements. The multi-function call button supports voice-activated dialing and answer/end commands. In addition, the product is equipped with volume control and a mute button, which are particularly useful for telephone conferencing. A headset port is available when more privacy is required.
With no installation needed, the Jabra SP100 makes an ideal Bluetooth car kit. It`s small, compact design and choice of mounting accessories means it can be securely positioned in the car wherever you find it most convenient. The speakerphone comes with two car mounting accessories, a visor clip and a suction mount.
The lightweight speakerphone (170 grams) is primarily designed for use in the vehicle and fits with today`s car interiors in multiple locations. As the Jabra SP100 is so lightweight and compact, it requires no external power source. The contoured design of the Jabra SP100 allows users to place the speakerphone on a desktop for use in the office or at home. The microphone features a pivoting arm that can be positioned for optimum voice pick-up. The volume can also be adjusted so that even large groups in noisy surroundings can hear phone conversations clearly.
The Jabra SP100 is fully compliant with Bluetooth 1.1 or higher devices that support the headset or hands-free profile. The speakerphone has a range of up to 30 feet to a mobile phone and utilises long-lasting, rechargeable AA batteries. It provides up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 20 days of standby time. An AC adapter and vehicle power charger are also included.
Kathea will be driving this product through its national base of accredited partners, which includes some of South Africa`s major IT corporations. "Due to the strength and capabilities of this product, it is perfectly suited for the mobile business professional, who requires a product with maximum mobility," says Vanden Bergh. The Jabra SP100 will be launched in October 2004.
