Following the completion of Microsoft platform tests for ISV Solutions at VeriTest, financial systems software developer and Microsoft business partner, K'e Concepts, believes it is ready to "ramp up business and elevate its relationship with Microsoft". The company said the achievement of the Veritest accreditation would allow it to become a Microsoft Gold Partner.
K'e Concepts is the developer and distributor of the Microsoft-based CreditEase software solution, a comprehensive instalment sales solution that addresses the business needs and challenges faced by the financial services industry.
Gareth Jane, technical director at K'e Concepts, explained: "Attaining Gold Partner status will elevate our relationship with Microsoft to a higher level. Microsoft naturally comes across a lot of opportunities in the marketplace and they are more likely to pass these opportunities onto Gold partners. In our loan management domain for instance, if we are a Gold Partner we will get a higher level of service from Microsoft - and more leads. There will also be more marketing opportunities as Microsoft frequently does joint workshops with partners and their customers."
The installation for the VeriTest verification was performed by SA`s software deployment company, DeployIT. DeployIT makes use of its own specialised development techniques and InstallShield, which works mainly in the Microsoft environment. The company has the ability to re-program, develop or re-install any software, including financial software solutions, payroll, human resources and accounting software.
Commenting on the install and verification process, DeployIT`s MD, Jaco Venter, said: "We developed the install and K'e Concepts then sent the install to VeriTest who conducted the necessary Microsoft Windows Server tests - which they passed." He added that whether a company`s products support a server or a client environment, in terms of Microsoft`s Partner Programme companies need to pass certain tests, including the Microsoft Platform Tests. The tests form part of Microsoft`s revamped partnership programme where vendors - in terms of eligibility requirements - need to meet certain conditions and garner enough points. Venter said one of the key methods to gain points is through certification testing with VeriTest.
Venter said that part of the process DeployIT had to follow on behalf of K'e Concepts was to develop the Install software to run with its CreditEase software, so that tests could be conducted to ensure the software could be installed and deployed without any hiccups.
