Kenya hosts e-Learning Africa 2007
According to Training Press Releases the second annual e-Learning Africa conference taking place in Nairobi, Kenya between from 28 to 30 May 2007 will focus on "Building infrastructures and capacities to reach out to the whole of Africa".
It will also feature large-scale lectures in Kenyan universities, addressing both fundamentals as well as R&D topics in technology-enhanced education and training.
In addition there will be two break-out workshops addressing the needs in rural areas and regional institutions: one in Mombassa on the Indian Ocean and one in Kisumu on Lake Victoria.

Korea goes e-learning crazy
A series of international conferences and events for e-learning is taking place in Korea, the Korea Times reports.
During the Asia-Europe Colloquy on University Cooperation conference taking place from 25 to 27 September, some 100 educational experts from countries in Asia and Europe are scheduled to discuss issues relating to e-learning.
The ministry expects to boost public education and reduce private education costs by providing a varied and high-quality selection of e-learning programs.
